S.A.L.T. – 2016

Join participants from Corvinus University, the UK and the US for 8 days of fun, adventure and learning.  Develop yourself, understand others, make an impact.

Participants:  8-12 Hungarian students from Körösi high school, 5 students from Corvinus University, and 6 participants from the UK and US.
Program Dates:  June 14-22

Program 1:

June 14-16:  The first three days of the program will take place in Budapest and will include many team-oriented activities:  team building, escape room challenge, workshops on personality and leadership at Corvinus University, service project, high-ropes course at Romai Fürdő, team games at Margit Sziget, pair talks, small group conversations.

Serve:  On June 15th there will be a service project at a home for mentally handicapped in Őrbottyán.  This will be a special moment in the program as students choose an area of service they are excited about.

Program 2:

June 18-22:  After the Budapest program the team will participate in an adventure and leadership development program in the Julian Alps of Slovenia.  This will be an important time for reflection, team fun, personal development.  Just imagine: Camping, hiking, caving, swimming, rafting, kayaking, camp fires…  The program will end when the team returns to Budapest on the evening of the 22nd.

Cost:

Program 1 – June 14-16: 7200 HUF for (a) escape room challenge, (b) train ticket for service project, and (c) high-ropes course.

Program 2 – June 18-22: 53 Euros for (a) camping and (b) visiting the gorge.

Cost of food in not included.  Participants should bring money to buy lunch in the city during the June 14-16 program.  In Slovenia, participants will buy their own food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a grocery store near the campground.  Cooking stoves and equipment will be available.  Group meals can be organized.

Transportation to Slovenia:  For Körösi high school students, the school will provide a mini-bus and driver for free transportation to and from Kobarid, Slovenia.
