D3 Hungary seeks to lift up the under-resourced and marginalized through sustainable enterprises.
Social Entrepreneurship is an especially relevant topic as we seek ways to make tangible differences in the world in which we live. What is social entrepreneurship? Among several good definitions is this one: Social entrepreneurship is the application of practical, innovative, and sustainable commercial methods for the benefit of society in general in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, with an emphasis on those who are marginalized and poor.
At the end of April, D3 Hungary will participate in a conference on Social Entrepreneurship in Sofia, Bulgaria. The conference will combine interactive teaching, case studies, and stories, we will be led in the exploration of this topic by Dr. Mark Leeman and Jeff Dennis, two men with decades of experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
