Summer Impact Hungary 2016
Ten-day opportunity focused on service among disadvantaged, personal and leadership development, adventure, and intensive language practice.
Participants: 6-8 Hungarian students with 3 students from the UK.
Dates: June 13 – July 22, 2016 (10 days).
Program Overview:
Week 1 (June 13-16): The central aspect of the program will be four days of experiential learning focused on serving among kids from a state-run children’s home in Budapest.
Serve: Hungarian and UK students will work together to organize and lead adventurous day-programs and will carry out creative community service projects in small teams with the kids.
Leadership Development: The program will incorporate workshops, discussions, and coaching in areas of personal and professional development.
Week 2 – (June 17-22): After the service programs the team will take participate in an adventure and leadership development program in the Julian Alps of Slovenia. Just imagine: camping, hiking, rafting, kayaking, swimming, waterfalls, campfires… The program will end when the team returns to Budapest on the evening of the 22nd.

Notes: Service week expenses do not include public transportation. Transportation to and from Slovenia is covered by the program.
